For those seeking training outside the school program, we offer a Work Clinic for jewelers or artists interested in developing a specific project, as well as annual courses for people with or without prior experience, in which we help students find their own language through technical and creative exercises.
We also offer customized short courses for those visiting Buenos Aires who wish to schedule a course with us, and remote tutoring sessions to support those who need guidance in developing their projects.
ntroduction to basic jewelry-making techniques, essential for new students and recommended for those who are already students and wish to review.
This course is designed to introduce students to basic techniques and tools, as well as their function and care. For those who have attended other workshops or have prior knowledge, this course is important because it offers insight into how work is done at Taller Eloi and helps level the group for those who will take part in the annual program.
Place reservations are made via email and require a deposit.
Two classes per week, three hours each. We recommend choosing two different instructors. The classes include technical and creative exercises for those who need them, but our main intention is for each student to develop a personal language and set clear goals, for which we provide both creative and technical tools.
No prior experience is required, but completion of the introductory course is mandatory.
In this space, coordinated by Jimena Ríos, participants work with projects in progress and a clearly defined goal.
Three-hour sessions in which projects are discussed and technical and creative tools are provided, allowing the work at hand to break free from clichés and common places and find an honest and profound path. The sessions begin in March and take place biweekly, with the possibility of using the studio on non-class weeks. Interested participants are required to attend a preliminary interview.
Biweekly classes. Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
One-on-one 1-hour Zoom sessions led by Jimena Ríos.
Individual mentoring sessions focused on project guidance and follow-up. Development of a personal artistic language that materializes into objects that relate to the body. Creation of commercial collections by strengthening or building brand identity.
Our goal is to propose exercises that help the work fully take shape, until it becomes a solid and coherent body of work with a clear identity, including professional photographs, an installation proposal if needed, and written material. Together, we define a concrete goal with a deadline, such as grant applications, competitions, or exhibitions.
In the first session, we conduct a brief interview and propose an initial exercise so you can prepare a presentation of your work, allowing us to understand your trajectory.
Students who enroll in the full tutoring package may participate in Taller Eloi’s online courses during the six-month tutoring period, are invited to the biweekly online Studio Critique sessions, and receive a 20% discount on in-person courses.
